1. Chez Bidart

Located in Gujan-Mestras, the oyster capital of the Bassin d'Arcachon, don't miss the exceptional Chez Bidart shack. Located in the port of Meyran center, it's the ideal place to enjoy oysters with a unique, delicious taste and a panoramic view of the Bassin as a bonus!

In a cosy, relaxed atmosphere, you'll find a variety of oysters from the finest to the most special, and even a few flat ones! But that's not all: there's also plenty of shellfish and seafood, each more exquisite than the last.

The little extra? Chez Bidart adapts perfectly to the seasons of the year! In winter, you can enjoy a tasting by the fireplace, while in summer, you can soak up the sun on the pretty terrace along the banks of the Bassin.

2. L'Huître Papillon

Another must-see address in Gujan-Mestras: the Papillon oyster shack on Port de Larros. Designed for visitors with a terrace and interior overlooking the cabins, the channel and the traditional « pinasses », you'll be plunged straight into the world of Arcachon.

All year round, you'll find a warm and welcoming atmosphere where you can sample oysters with a unique and delicious taste. Here, oysters are tasted blind, accompanied by a glass of local white wine to enhance their flavor. 3. Chez Boulan

A local staple for decades, Chez Boulan is the oyster shack not to be missed!

You'll find it all year round at Cap-Ferret, where you'll have the opportunity to taste oysters matured in the Médoc and awarded the multi-gold medal at the Concours Agricole de Paris!

On the menu, you'll find the “Spéciale Boulan” for a mild, meaty taste, and the “Ferret Capienne” for a lighter, more iodized taste. What's more, we offer a wide range of accompaniments, from white wine to seafood and seasonings.
